Logic and Feeling// Jinx and John

[John Ford]

John sat watching the whomping willow. It would twist and turn, this way and that, anything just to move. John could understand. For sleeping for such a long time, it would want to do a little stretching.

But John wasn't just here to watch the whomping willow, he had a vision that he was suppose to be here.

Just sit and wait.

And what ever it was, would come. So that's what John was doing, waiting for the sign to be triggered.

[Jinx Williams]

Jinx made her way through the trees cautiously, her pale skin glowing snow in the shadows. Picking her way across fallen branches from an earlier storm, Jinx spotted the whomping willow and pushed her way towards it.

"John?" She asked, slumping down next to him and picking leaves out of her hair.

[John Ford]

John's eyes that were once distant, refocused.

"Oh... Hey, Jinx. What are you doing here?" John asked confused. John tilted his head reaching out and snagging a leaf from her hair, careful not to actually touch her. "Leaf." he showed her before he let it drop. "No offense. You look like a mess."

[Jinx Williams]

"I know I know," Jinx sighed. "It got too much, all the emotions flying around. I needed a break. Except I went too far. What are you doing here?"

[John Ford]

John shrugged, "Got a vision. Suppose to be here."

John frowned, "Maybe I can help you."

[Jinx Williams]

Jinx shook her head sadly. "I highly doubt you can help me John. You have enough to deal with, my own.... gift is not of your concern."

[John Ford]

John smiled comfortingly at Jinx, "Your..." John hesitated, but then nodded, "Yes... We are friends Jinx. I can help you..." John whispered, "Well, at least give you a tool that may prove benificial." John looked at the tree as it swayed, "I always see the future. I always see the past. I always hear thoughts. I always see ghosts. I always see light differently. I always...." John said trailing off, trying to get her to understand in many ways they were different, but the same. "But there is a skill one can learn to help... Control or at least filter." John looked to her, "Would you like me to teach you?"

[Jinx Williams]

"I'll give anything a go," Jinx told him with a sad smile, "I don't think I can go through life feeling everyone's emotions."

[John Ford]

John nodded. First John instructed her to sit in a meditation poss that which she felt most comfortable with. Then he told her to clear her mind, but feel everything in her body, and finally to visuallise a ball of light directed in her center.

"I want you now," John instructed soothingly, "To project this little ball of light out of you, and slowly circling you, and gradually increasing speed, to eventually become just a ring. When you got the ring, I then want you to project your feeling into the ring, visualize the ring going around you, making a sphere of light. When you got that, we'll start to test the sphere."

[Jinx Williams]

Jinx giggled but did as he asked, immediately assuming her normal meditation position. Eyes closed, she breathed deeply and forced any negative thoughts away from herself. She had long ago learnt the dangers of meditating when in a bad mood. Her eyes snapped open and she stood, raising a piece of oak. A wand that was not a wand.

Glancing at John, she muttered, "Need a circle first. Can't meditate without feeling safe." Tracing a circle in the air, she invoked the powers of the God and Goddess, asking them to guide her. She hesitated, and closed the circle around John rather than in front of him. "Incase you didn't already gather, I am wiccan. Crysa's influence, I think. Feel glad, honoured almost. I have never before included anyone but her in my circle."

She returned to her meditation position, following his instructions. "Ring? Check."
