John is born in the muggle world in Haiti, Africa where a mambo (vodou priestess) had baptised him and considered him a very powerful being. After moving to Canada with his parents, his mother left him at the age of one leaving him with his father and his sibblings.
His father was always abusive and would say aweful and terrible things while John would take care of his siblings and his family. RP response:
John watched people from his window of his living room. His spectacles were taken off so he could see the different rays of lights and how they interfered and worked with humans themselves. People had fields around them known as auras, something that not only John could see, but understand and feel. He laid upon the couch gazing out on the open street of the snowy Christmas day watching as the children across the street played.
All their auras were the color of yellow-- happiness.
John has two powerful gifts, but its best to be said he is a natural born diviner. A clairovayant. Someone who had 'true-sight'. Something rare among not only muggles, but witches and wizards themselves.
John envied people, although he would never admit to this. He chewed on his nail as he used a long, silky, olive green scarf as a pillow. He tilted his head to the side and saw the aura more closely.
Something happened then, one of the children turned to see John staring and the boy froze.
"No!" John nearly screamed as their eyes met.
Everything came in such a rush, John felt as if a piece of him fell into the child's eyes and they connected. Became whole. One being.
Flashes came of the boy's past and John forced himself away. He lay there panting on the floor beads of sweat clung to his hair as tears streamed down his eyes. He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a small sob and then he shuddered and closed his eyes trying to decipher what he had just seen.
