John followed silently, and then Beau opened the door to his place, or his father's he should say.

Beau walked in looking around to see that his father was standing at the hall infront of the stair way blocking the view of his room.
"Dad" Beau muttered. His father glared,"where dod you go?" he ordered.
"That is none of your concern, im going to to room if that is ok with you?" he asked stared at the man noting he has been drinking again.
"You can not walk in and out of my house without asking me, you don't own it" the man said stepping forwards, he sighed and walked up and stepped around the man his hand tight on Johns.
"Afternoon father" he muttered ignoring the man.

John held his breath. The man was so similar to his own.
The father stared after Beau, his eyes examining Beau up and down in disgust then his eyes narrowed dangerously. John kept pace with Beau, then the man roared, "YOU BROUGHT YOUR KIND HERE!!!" he said thundering up the stairs.

Beau tensed with suprsie,"get in John" he ordered lightly pushing just inside his own room before flicking his wand to lock the boy inside saftly from his fathers harm. Beau turned around to face the man.
"I havnt brought anyone home day your drunk and seeing things" he said stepping forwards as if he felt no fear towards the roaring man.

Beau stared at the man and pushed away the jabbing finger, his eyes narrowed towards his own father and stepped closer to the man."no, how about you get out" he said frmly staring at the drunken unco-ordenate eyes of his own father.

The man hiccuped, John's eyes were squeesed shut. he hated fighting.
The man then said, "T-this is my house!" he bellowed.

"T-this is my house!"
Beaus eyes remained to the swaying stupid durnk, the man Beau was ashamed to call father,"well why don't you take care of it and leave mum alone for a few moments!" he hissed back, he wasn't even sure where mother was right now but he knew she liked the house to be clean and was always rushing around the house cleaning after this pigs mess. Beau glared at him before opening his door and wlaking into his room grabbing onto John to force the child to follow before closing the door ignoring his Fathers bellowing durnken calls behind.
"im sorry you had to listen to tht." Beau said stroking Johns face looking regreftfully apoun those eyes.

Beau stared at Johns perfect light crocked smile, the exprestion on Johns face always meant a lot to Beau, he smiled back gentally and tok a slight step forwards his arms outreched to touch the childs cheek about tto pull him in for a long kiss but enstead John has opened his mouth and spoken.
"Its okay.... Where is your mother?"
he paused and frowned listening,"i...not sure." he admitted frowning. "she'll be in the house somewhere." he replied calmly before taking another step forwards and pressed his lip closer to Johns cheek.

Beau looked to the side silent for a moment,"i don't know she knows better then to be any where near him." he rpelied, Beau knew the only thing that kept his mother here was fear that her husbane would find her and hurt her for leaving him."he wont kill her i know." Beau answered feeling a bit guilty because there asn't really anything he could do about this. it was how it always went between his parents and he was just the one who had to sit and watch or risk being hurt himself.

John looked down, uneasily. He didn't know how to feel about this. Beau seemed so cold sometimes.
John looked up pleadingly, then he blinked unsurely, "Why did you want me to come?"
