A thousand apologies //Joey

[Crysa Lake]

Crysa bit her lip as she made her way to Joey's home, her hands clasped before her. She'd been forced to take off again, but this time she'd shaken off whoever had been following her and could safely say she was back for good. Whether Joey would have moved on by now was another story. Making her way up to the house, she resisted the urge to turn tail and run for it -you're a vampire for God's sake, act a little more mature- and tapped lightly on the door. Stepping back and rocking on her heels, she chuckled softly at the sound of a girl laughing. Gemma or Arista were having fun then.

No letters had been sent, no messages, no indication that she had any hope for coming back. Crysa supposed it was too much to expect Joey to remain so loyal to her given what she had done, but a small part of her refused to give up the hope that a part of him might still care for her. Even if they were only friends, it would be better than losing him for good.

Joey heard the doorbell ring and Arista smiling as she got up and raced to the door, she seemed much stronger now adays which he was so pleased to see, she wasn't so thin thanks to his mothers awsome cooking, and with Gemma always by her side never alone when he was busy working. he had given the girl everything she would ask for even if it wasn't much, he loved her litle his own through he dind't have any yet. sighing the longing miss of Crysa hurt. Arista opened the door and saw the purple haird Vampire. her eyes widened large and suprsie."crysta!"s he cheers happily.
Joey heard the cheer and the name and hsot up out of bed, holding the neck of his guitar he ran down the stairs, somehting he always told the girls not to do. as he raced to see her standing in the door way, the hurt of her disapperence hit him, he looked sadly at her."where were you?" he said quietly.

Crysa grinned as Arista opened the door, hugging the dark haired girl. "Hey there baby girl," she greeted, kneeling in front of her and holding her at arms length. "Goodness, you've grown! Look at you!" Giggling, she took in the much stronger form of the child, from her taller stature to her bright expression. Footsteps from upstairs alerted Crysa to the presence of Joey and she stood once more, brushing the dust off her knees so she'd look part way presentable. Looking to the stairs uncertainly, she gave the boy a small smile as he appeared, her grip tightening on Arista, although she wasn't sure why.It wasn't like the child could protect her from the hurt in his expression.

"I had to," she began, before falling silent. Taking a breath, she found it easier to look away from Joey, anything but see the sadness in his eyes, hear the pain in his voice. Still, Crysa fought against her instinct and looked at Joey, her dark eyes seeking his out in an attempt to convey her apology without words. "I had to keep you safe. I was being followed, I went to Russia in an attempt to keep everyone happy. I couldn't tell you," she sighed. "I couldn't risk it. I'm so sorry Joey, I never meant to hurt you, truly. I understand if you hate me, I think I'd hate me too."

"Hey there baby girl,","Goodness, you've grown! Look at you!" "I had to,", "I had to keep you safe. I was being followed, I went to Russia in an attempt to keep everyone happy. I couldn't tell you,", "I couldn't risk it. I'm so sorry Joey, I never meant to hurt you, truly. I understand if you hate me, I think I'd hate me too."
Joey stared at her, he wanted ot hold her already, he hated being mad at people and he wasn't mad at her but he was hurt deffintly."you have done this before." he reminded her,"How can i know your not going to again Crysa?" he said looking at her in the eyes.

Crysa hesitated at his question, wondering how best to word it so he'd understand her sincerity. "I wont. I can't tell you how to know it, but I swear I will never do that again. I don't plan on running away again, and if I do, it wont be without telling you so you wont worry. Please try and believe me," she murmured, stroking Arista's hair lightly to maintain her composure. If that didn't work she'd have to beg, and begging was not something the vampire would have considered were it not Joey the person in question.

"I wont. I can't tell you how to know it, but I swear I will never do that again. I don't plan on running away again, and if I do, it wont be without telling you so you wont worry. Please try and believe me,"
Joey closed his eyes breathing in and out, he slid his guitar over his shoulder and grinned,"ok well, welcome back." he replied taking two long strides and had her in his arms inwithin a moment, he pressed his face into her haior. it was such a gorgious texture, light and purple, and soft and wonderful. he stroked it lovingly."I love you." he whispered,"don't do that to me again please." he said he couldn't take nowing she was missing like that ever again and pretend he wasn't worried.

Crysa's face broke into a grin, her relief evident. Relaxing into his embrace, she ignored Arista who made the obvious comment -"Young child here!"- and wrapped her arms around him, burying her face into his shoulder. "I love you too. I swear, I'll never do that again. I couldn't do that again, being away from you was horrible." She knew he probably hadn't shown Arista, or anyone, how worried he had been. And he had worried. That much was plain to see, she didn't need to read his mind to know it.

Young child here!"- and wrapped her arms around him, burying her face into his shoulder. "I love you too. I swear, I'll never do that again. I couldn't do that again, being away from you was horrible."
Joey laughed lightly filling the emotional environment with a bit of light as he hugged two of some of the most presious girls of his life,"Oh Arista, would you like a big kiss as well?" he teased he'd only hugged Crysa and she was already careying on about only being a child, Joey puckered his lips as if he was going to give her a big sloppy kiss.

Arista shrieked and pulled away from Joey, heading for the stairs in an attempt to avoid mushiness. "Gemma! You're brother's trying to kill me!" She yelled, ignoring the faces Crysa pulled at her retreating back. Chuckling, Crysa turned back to Joey with raised eyebrows. "Should I be worrying about what you've done to that poor little girl? I mean, she knows a couple of other kids, you might get mauled by a gaggle of giggling girls. Although I guess you're used to that already," she grinned.

Joey laughed as the girl retreated."because running Arista" he called behind her grinning as he turned back to Crysa,"Should I be worrying about what you've done to that poor little girl? I mean, she knows a couple of other kids, you might get mauled by a gaggle of giggling girls. Although I guess you're used to that already,"
Joey chuckled and kissed her forehead to not waste any pucked lips."It's fine, if they are Arista's friends." he replied not minding hugging Crysa some more."so tell me where were you?" he said needing to know if she went into hiding for whatever reason he had to find her.

Crysa sighed and reached into her pocket, pulling out a simple map. "This is Russia," she explained, tracing a thin line that marked a disused road up in the far north of the country. "If you follow this road for about... forty miles, you reach a load of little caves. Take the third cave on the right and it leads out of the main rocks and into a small clearing. The clearing is where I've been hiding out. Jinx took me there when we were younger and it's kind of like a secret place for us to go to when we're in trouble." Smiling, she refolded the map and handed it to Joey, running a hand through her hair nervously. "If I vanish again, you can find me there at any time. Kay?" Hopefully that would be enough to reassure him that he wouldn't lose her again.

"This is Russia," she explained, tracing a thin line that marked a disused road up in the far north of the country. "If you follow this road for about... forty miles, you reach a load of little caves. Take the third cave on the right and it leads out of the main rocks and into a small clearing. Jinx took me there when we were younger and it's kind of like a secret place for us to go to when we're in trouble.", "If I vanish again, you can find me there at any time. Kay?" .
Joey stared at the map wishing he this the first time she'd disappeared, and the second. what can happen once can happen again, if it happened twice then a third time would be ore likely, and a fourth would draw te line out of Joey if he had no idea where she was. sighing he hugged her tightly."I think u should give up on the map and just come to me." he said hopfully.

"And put you, Arista, Gemma, your parents, and anyone who comes to visit you at risk?" She laughed, although truth be told she was rather touched by the offer."But like I said, I'm going to try not to vanish again." Crysa ran a hand through her hair once more, her nervousness starting to fade away. She knew she was already pushing it by vanishing twice with no notice, and the vampire was starting to wonder how many times she could screw up before Joey finally got rid of her. As much as she hated the thought, Crysa knew it was likely that sooner or later he'd get fed up with her. Most people did.

"And put you, Arista, Gemma, your parents, and anyone who comes to visit you at risk?" ,"But like I said, I'm going to try not to vanish again."
Joey stared at her as she ran her fingers through her hair, it instantly made him concern and placed his hand to her cheek and stared at her,"lets go inside and sit my the fire, i'll get mum to make us some hot chocolate, i've been working on a song i want you to be the first to hear it." he said smiling pleasantly.

"A new song?" Crysa grinned, her eyes lighting up. "Goody goody!" Clapping her hands together lightly, she leant into Joey and nodded, accepting his offer. "You have no idea how good that sounds honey," she murmured, the thought of a fire cheering her up from her uncertainty.
