Danny's mind snapped into clear focus. It calmed and settled. He could barely feel her in his arms, but he clung to her. He let part of his mind drift away from her, from its focus on her, and then he noticed. If he had breath, it would have been stolen from him. So wrong, was this face he recognised. So, so wrong. And before a word could escape his lips, the deadly familiar face was gone. His mind whirled through thoughts at a lightening pace. Flickering. No. No, no.
Their smells, they were in the air. How could he not have noticed before? That smell that made his chest ache with lonliness. The smell that reminded him just how long he had been gone for. Lanor was out there. He knew they would follow him. He knew it.
But he didn't think.....
An animalistic cry tore from his throat. Holding Isabella closer, he ran from the room. He followed the empty coridoors, knowing that he knew this place better than him. Knowing that he would get out faster.
Blinding, startling light burned his eyes. The first thing he noticed was the cool wind. Then he noticed them. They couldn't come here. But they were. 'Lanor!' He screamed, his usually musical voice rough and husky. He had Isabella. They could go. They could leave. Oh, please let them leave.
With her in his arms he turned, and knew without seeing that they were behind him, and he was stuck between them.'No' His voice was a whisper as he did the only thing he could. He ran to Lanor, to that safety, to await a battle that he couldn't prevent.

Distant footsteps echoed, the form of Dmetri casting a shadow beside Alec's own. It took little time for them to emerge from the prison. Both their eyesights falling upon the barren land that lay ahead of them. Alec's lips moved into a smirk, his dark eyes finally finding the source for all the plans put forth by the assassins. The vampire Lanor. He was walking right into their trap, like a puppy would if it had lost it's bone.
Snapping his finger tips together, Alec turned toward Dmetri, pointing toward the pathetic crowd gathered around Lanor.
"Leave no one alive." Alec ordered, his tone impossibly inhumane. The Coldness frosting over the edges, much like the person saying them. Just like that Dmetri was already heading forward, his face showing nothing but utmost loyalty toward Alec. Turning back, Alec's eyes darkened. His gaze finding Danny with Isabella. A sneer marked his face as he smiled. Knowing that Danny's heroics would be all in vain.
"Like a moth to a flame..." Whispered Alec, lightly. As if taken by a trance before making his way toward the two.

Electric blue eyes widened, as Lanor turned his head. The unexpected call of his name surprising him. Then as if the blood running through him paused, Lanor found himself running toward Danny. Relief painting his face.
Danny!
Alive. Safe and with Isabella in his arms.
Lanor almost forgot to speak, his arms opening in welcome.
"Danny... " Was he could make out as he took in Danny's tired form, that and the blood surrounding Isabella's neck. The sweet aroma spreading, making the air seen all to much claustrophobic. He didn't know the smell of human blood mixed with vampires, but now he did. Mixed perfectly, the smell could be counted as intoxicating if not for the fact Lanor was older and could resist such things. That and his concentration was on his love.
His incredibly idiotic, handsome lover.
Yet, he couldn't move any further. The way blocked by two men, one heading toward them, making Lanor increasingly edgy. His face appearing blank, almost robotic, the other was heading straight toward Danny. All Lanor could do was watch. Although his mind was shouting at him, deafening him to the only thing that matter right then.
Get to Danny.
Without another thought, Lanor bolted. Pushing the man clanned in black to the side. Nothing would prevent Lanor from getting to Danny. Nothing

Where am I?
Muddled thoughts desperately asked. Continuing on there endeavor deep into the ever growing darkness. Although, will enough effort Isabella could picture the growing heat. The light causing her to suffer in silent pain. She didn't need this. Isabella didn't know when she had let herself grasp enough strength to fight the oncoming eternal darkness. The welcoming parade of death, she had wanted when this all had begun.
'Lanor!'
The voice... That voice.
She laid there, with Danny holding her. Weak and helpless. Yet that voice, his voice made her eyes flicker open. It hurt, the unsatisfying result of the open area she had found herself in. It was too wide. Isabella was having a difficult time managing to come to terms with this. This situation she now found herself in. Even so, the arms that held her made her feel secure. Completely and utterly safe from the monsters that hope to grab at her and tear her soul apart.
Though, that didn't stop the overall sensation of numbness forming and drifting out towards her whole body. Making her immobile, useless. The only sound that came from her mouth sounded much like a moan of pain.

Loki's brilliant yellow eyes flickered dangerously. They flicked quickly between Frank, Isabella, and Alec. Of course. Now she recognised his scent, recognised his face. 'Traitor' The word was a hiss through her teeth.
Instantly Azareal was by her side, his face expressionless. He too recognised the familiar face. They exchanged no words, but the two vampire ancients moved as one. They were a singular terror as they approached Alec at a deathly quick pace.
Loki's perfect, statuesque features were twisted in rage as she reached him. 'Traitor' she repeated, Azareal's voice echoing her own. In one smooth movement she slammed the palms of her hands into his chest with enough force to send even someone like Azareal flying.

Danny wanted so desperately to rush into Lanor's arms and forget everything going on around them. But he knew he had to make sure Isabella was safe. He felt Loki and Azareal rush past him, rather than saw them and a pool of relief welled in his stomach, along with fear. Relief that he would be able to reach Lanor, that he would be able to get Isabella away from Alec. Fear that now that Loki and Azareal were out there, that this was now certain, irrevocable. They would have to fight.
In the temporary safety of the trees, he set Isabella down, knowing that he wouldn't be able to stay here with her for long. He stood and turned from her for a moment, looking expectantly and longingly toward Lanor.

Kaiden rose as the leech-pet who was carrying Isabella approached. As soon as he had his back turned, Kaiden was by her side. His furry muzzle nuzzled her face for but a second, his worry for her burning brightly within him. Then he was all over her. Smelling her, finding injuries and, most importantly, the scent of the crawler who did this to her. A low, gutteral growl tore from deep in his chest.
Flickering violently, caught somewhere between man and wolf, Kaiden flung himself into the oncoming attackers. He would tear out every throat. He would make every one of them suffer for what they had done to his Isabella.

'Traitor'
The word, while highly insulting, made Alec gather his attention towards the incoming threat. Already recognizing the two coming for him, Alec made a quick hand gesture. Calling for the others to make themselves known. To use whatever was necessary to destroy the lot of them.
Still, Alec smiled his cocky like smile at the two. Prepared to dive into chitchat, though before he even had the chance to greet them, he was sent flying. The unexpected turn of events left Alec a little sour, not to mention hurt. Frowning, Alec got up while dusting himself off. Taking a scan of the ground before he headed back over towards Loki, and Azareal. Knowing where everyone was, was important if he wanted to get out of this alive.
"Loki, Azareal... Pleasure as always. Not the nicest way to greet an old friend." Alec greeted, "...But then again, you always were a b!tch." Alec smirked, a fist already making it's way toward Loki's face.

Evie's whole face fell. Her heart began beating fast and hard with the sudden number of assassins that now seemed to surround them. Her magic, as always started to blossom out, protecting her. Creating a barrier from the violence yet to come. The violence that had already happened. Silver-hard eyes watched as Danny placed Isabella down. Her eyes softening as she tried her hardest not to move towards her. To comfort and heal her. Isabella. She was safer now. Evie would make sure she came out of this alive, even if she herself didn't.
Dodging a dagger that was meant for her head, Evie plead for her magic to help her attack. The tension around her upset her nature. It was easy for her to gain control of her magic with the current atmosphere, and with it Evie took hold of it. Sending a burst of energy toward the assassin who tried to harm her. If wasn't over. As another took his place. Frightening and menacing just like the last.
Taking a look around her, Evie almost let out a scream. As a huge wolf took out the assassin in front of her.
"Who..?" Was all she said, before her attention got taken by another assassin.

Reaching out for Danny, Lanor pulled him toward himself. It lasted forever, the moment he had Danny in his arms again. Holding him tightly, like one would a teddy bear, yet this was much more special. His lifeline, his everything, his soulmate. Tears would of been running down his pale face if only he could cry. He had Danny back, his. Lanor couldn't help breathing in his heavenly scent.
"..I've missed you love." The words didn't seen right, they didn't express just how much Lanor missed him. It was if his own heart had disappeared, and then suddenly returned. He tried to put that in words, he hoped Danny would hear that in them. He was just so delighted to have Danny back, that the fighting around them creased to exist in Lanor's mind. Only Danny and himself did, and really... That was all that matter right then.

The acidic smell of fresh air made itself known, her lungs filled with the pure substance. Awaking her body to the reality she had tried so hard to ignore. With it, and her eyes widening, Isabella had only one thing on her delicately fragile mind. Feeding Anything else was discarded for a time when she had more control, more sense of the world she thought she belonged too once upon a time.
Slowly, Isabella lifted her head. The movement causing the rest of her body to shutter with agony. Causing her neck to protest, as warmth spread across her neck, covering the already dried blood with a fresh layer. It was only then, that she recognized a scent. Familiar in a way that made her long for the comfort the scent's carrier could provide. The wolf's scent though, only dimmed Isabella's desire for blood in that split second.
Before long, she was standing. Using the truck of the tree to keep her balance. An action that was clearly taking it's toll.
"Danny..."
The name came out as a pained look crossed over her wasted features. The longing in her dark red rimmed, violet eyes, showed just what she needed. Wanted Because it hurt, it was excruciating, the thirst ripping through every fiber of her tiny being. And the worst was that she couldn't master up enough energy to get herself any blood. The weeks locked up had made her undesirably weak.

Danny let out a single, tearless sob as he found himself in Lanor's arms again. Everything else disappeared, if only for a moment. He was back in the place where he fit so perfectly. He buried his head in the crook of Lanor's neck, and his arms fastened tightly around his waist. He closed his eyes and he could not see the beginnings of a terrible fight. He willed away sound and he couldn't hear the noise of battle. He blocked evey sense beside touch, focusing ever fibre of his being on the feeling of Lanor against him, fearful, but not knowing why.
Then two things cut through his mental blocks, resounding in his mind clearer than anything else. Both brought him whirring back to a place he didn't want to be.
The first was a smell so sharp that it burnt his nostrils and caused him to gag on its musk. The wolf-smell was so out-of-place. It shocked him into breaking his grip on Lanor. Kaiden. A werewolf in a vampire's battle. It was a mystery to what brought him here.
The second was something that caused him to look away from Lanor's comforting perfection. A voice so pure and sweet and desperate that it cracked his skull. Not a second passed between when he saw her standing there with such need in her eyes, and when he was by her side, supporting her, letting her rest her weight upon him.
As soon as he was touching her instead of Lanor, a part of his heart was torn and left with the other boy. Almost as desperate as Isabella, Danny looked to his boyfriend. 'Help me?' he asked urgently, knowing what Isabella needed, and knowing that he could not help her and protect her at the same time.

Loki's head snapped back, her movement quick enough to avoid most of the force of the blow, but not evade it entirley. A hiss escaped her lips as his fist connected with her jaw, but before she had time to respond to Alec's insult, Azareal was making his presence known. Quickly and sharply, with a force not to be underestimated, his palm connected with Alec's cheek. "You will show respect" He said calmly, his dark eyes cold and blank, his words little more than a whisper.
Loki's stone features were all bitterness as she stepped forward. Her eyes barely flickered towards Azareal before focusing on Alec. Her eyes burned an angry fire-red. "You are no friend to me. You are no friend to any of us. You are noting more than a blood smear on my boot. Traitor." Loki's voice was both as hard as stone and as deadly as flame as she spoke to him. "You are scum. You do not even deserve the merciful death that awaits you today" With those words, Loki stepped back, allowing Azareal to step forward once more. He was entirely teeth and speed as he lunged.

Looking down, Evie mentally blocked out the fact she had not only just killed a man, but a few. Only doing what they were ordered to do. Still, as she looked back up at the increasing chaos, she couldn't help but feel she was doing the same. Protecting what she valued most. Her friend's lives. Gently, Evie kneel down on one knee, closing the man's eyes, so that she wouldn't have to feel the guilt when the pale, lifeless eyes looked up at her. Then reaching out a hand, Evie grasped the dagger he had in his hand, before standing.
Her eyesight followed that of Danny helping Isabella. It was hard to tell from her position, but Evie could make it out, with the help of Isabella's magic. Sending a wave of desire, that desire leaving a coppery taste in Evie's mouth. With the dagger in her hand Evie ran at another assassin, using her magic to briefly stun him. Silver eyes watched as he fell. Coldly, Evie kicked him, making sure he was immobile, as she held him up. Dagger point to his neck. Gazing over at Isabella, Evie smiled. The smile looking alarmingly out of place. Making sure she held the assassin tightly, Evie quickly headed towards Danny. Knowing he needed help with Isabella.

Lanor was about ready to carry Danny out of there, they had got what they needed. Yet he felt Danny slip away from his arms, Lanor, despite this, was already following him. Unable to keep himself from him. He absolutely hated when they were apart, the ache in his heart would start again. Lanor didn't want that, not when it could be averted. Acknowledging Isabella's state, and what she needed. Lanor's face turned sympathetic, the thirst burning inside of her for so long... Lanor's worry for her only increased. She looked so weak, so fragile. Isabella probably found it shameful, the way she couldn't even help herself.
Nodding his head toward Danny, Lanor quickly supported Isabella. An easy feat for a vampire. While his eyes caught Evie heading toward them. An immobile assassin in her grasp. A silent agreement passed between them, already knowing what the assassin was for. Looking at Danny, Lanor motioned for him to help Evie. It would be harder for Evie to hold the Assassin down while Isabella feed off him. That, and they had to be quick, there was no telling when they would be under attack.
