"just entertain the children for a few hours, thankyou for coming in." the teacher said leading Joey behind him, he reached up and scratched the back of his head."ah...i've neevr taught others to play." he said frowning. "you'll be fine, some of the teachers have said they don't attend there classes and we have a resonpsiablity they learn at leaste something so just keep a eye on them you'll be fine." the teacher said patting his shoulder opening the door as Joey walked down staring at a small gorupd of children, it was just volleenteer work in which some students which the teachers thought there 'troubling' students for unattending or were hard to handle he had been told to 'entertain' them today, why Joey wasn't sure but apparently it was something he had been asked to do once every second week. Joey felt rather unorganized his guitar slung aound his back staring at teenaged eyes,"ah, hey guys." he gave a weak smile to them catching the eyes before him. 'God Joey what have you gotten yourself into! he thought feeling at a loss.

Alex glared dully at the wizard singer as he arrived. She really doubted that he could live up to her expectations. He looked like someone from a boyband. The accoustic guitar supported that idea. What she wouldn't give to have Aerosmith here! Or Nightwish! Even Dragonforce would do! But noooo, no muggle-musicians were allowed. Unfortunetly, Alex was 'strongly encouraged' to participate. Meaning: if she didn't, she faced some serious detention time. Maybe she could heckle him, she might get out of both detention AND being there. She grinned, wondering if she could trip him up. "Hey! Know 'Smoke on the water'?" Alex grinned at him, fully expecting the answer to be a 'no'.

"Hey! Know 'Smoke on the water'?" Joeys eyes turned towards a girl with a full attitude signal coming off from her tone and body lanague, through most of the people here did. probley those type of teenagers who thought themselves better then the world and they were above classes? he wondered. "uh, i know a song called Smoke on the water by the Deep Purple and i can play it." he said calmly,"not the best song i find to sing to through." he said,"i'll play it if you wanna sing the lrics." he gave a small grin to her, her firey red hair was rather long.

Alex stared for a minute. It shocked her that he knew that song. She broke out into a huge grin. For a boy-band appearing guy, he seemed to be a little bit better than her previous judgement. "I like you more already." She told him, the grin remaining. To her knowlege, wizards were, more or less, muggle-impaired. Didn't know about much about any of the good muggle stuff. For him to know that song, as old as it was, impressed her to no end.
Alex paused, and the grin dropped as she thought about singing. Previous times of her standing infront of a crowd preforming when she was younger flashed through her mind. Although gymnastics and singing were quite different, they both had one thing similar. An audience. Her last performance had failed terribly, and she was teased mercilessly. She stepped back as if to show she would back off. "Nah, I'd rather not sing." She told him, resisting the urge to fold her arms.

"I like you more already." "Nah, I'd rather not sing." Joey watched her he gave a small twitch of a smile to her, relaxing now he seemed to be in someones good books."Thats fine" Joey nodded calmly reaching up and subconsciously adjusting his guitar strap he wasn't really here to play music and preform more entertain and talk, he didn't know many games you could do verbally he would have to think o some, or even wizard games. "ah OK, so i know it's a bit lame but it gets you guys out of lass, so i have exploding snap cards out for everyone to play with or even just sit and chill and talking is good...lets just not go while around the place that would get me into trouble please." he said voice calm as his personality was.

Alex's eyebrows shot up, a game? Well, that threw her for a loop. She was sure the guy would do somethin' else. Sing, dance, tell them how inportant education was, bring out puppets. Reminded her of her adoptive mother. Alex's nose wrinkled in distaste. Dismissing the thought, she plopped herself on the ground, not too keen on playing a game, but talking wouldn't be too fun either. People tended not to like her, so it was better to not talk. At least not for now. Atleast she wasn't in class, detention, or doing homework.

Joey saw not many of them were keen to the idea,"ah ok well just stay where i seem like i can see you all." he muttered pulling out a large slack of cards and placed them on the steps,"just pick them up if you want to play." he said the red head sit as if she was keen to play, her body langue face said other wise. Joey smiled a bit and sat across form her,"would you play cards with me?" he asked holding them out to see if she would like o hand outt he cards or not.

Alex's eyebrow rose slowly, as she looked at him strangely. "I really don't know the game very well. I usually play muggle games, exploding snap sounds like it might blow off someone's hand or somethin'. I'll play go fish, or Old Maid.... I really don't think they'd allow the fun ones." Alex replied. Wizzards were so strange, make a game that explodes in the player's face, or pictures that would walk around and talk back to you. It sounded like a world for crazies.

Joey laughed,"the game is a bit like Snap if you have every played, you lay out a bunch of cards and then you ave to match them once you have you have to place them down and make a card tower, if you don't make it quick enough then the cards explode, or more shack so the tower falls apart andmake oud noises, but if you wish we can play go fish i know that game" he said smiling.

Alex stared blankly at him. "You mean to tell me, the game is almost like Jinga? But in reverse?" She thought about the game a second longer, "So, in other words... in the game, you are your own worst enemy." The game sounded interesting to her, atleast the cards wouldn't blow up in her hand. "I'll try it, but if I loose an eye, I'm blamin' you." She told him, not entirely meaning it.

"You mean to tell me, the game is almost like Jinga? But in reverse?", "So, in other words... in the game, you are your own worst enemy." "yes" he said knowing the game Jinga as the one where you stack blocks and then having to pull them slowly out without making it flal, this game you had to be fast and find pairs in the cards so then you could stack them quickly.
"I'll try it, but if I loose an eye, I'm blamin' you." Joey laughed and nodded,"i'll take full responsiablity." he answered as he laid the cards out on the ground the back side facing upwards.

Alex nodded in an almost playful seriousness, "As you should." She watched the cards being put out, and placed onto the ground. She'd wait for him to explain to further, or to start himself. She knew without a doubt that he would win for a couple of rounds. Beginners luck never seemed to like her too much. It avoided her all the time. She only won with skill, and her hardheadedness. "So... uh... let the games begin?" Alex glanced up for a moment, and then went back to staring at the cards. She'd figure it out.

His eyes wentto her gorgious smile, he smiled back and then down to the cards finishing as he laid them out and then sat back,"ok you may start" he answered his coffee brown eyes quivered over the cards 3 across down and 8 down wards making up a deck of 32 cards all up for there attempt to creat a card castle.

Alex stared down at the cards in an attempt to try and figure out, then looked back at him. "I know there's a 'ladies first' deal with some guys, but... eh... you go first." The game hard her confused. She also was scared a card was going to blow up in her face. When she first started something... things tended not to go right.

"I know there's a 'ladies first' deal with some guys, but... eh... you go first." Joey laughed and nodded, he took two cards quickly flipping them over, nope it wasn't a match he placed them back down,"your turn" he said now as the game begun.
