The sixth floor corridor had never before seen such a large, unruly group of students as the Slytherin's that now crowded it. It seemed that all the 'somebodies' of Slytherin had come out, to fill a usually empty walkway, for no apparent reason. And in their midst, leant so casually against a wall, waving off comments like flies, was a lanky blonde that far too attractive for his own good or anyone else's.
This boy appeared to be the reason the others were here. Friends and hangers-on alike, they had flocked to him when he said he wanted to take a walk, each offering company that they wouldn't allow him to refuse. Though their company was not entirely unwanted. It gave him a feeling of such power, playing his housemates as puppets. He could get them to do anything, if he told them it was cool.
The suffering though, was sometimes questionable of the worth of his power. A giggling fifth year hung off his arm, twirling her hair and pushing herself against a resentful Kaiden. She was disgustingly stereotypical. Disgustingly other things too.... Not even he would touch that.

With a free on her hands, a dark haired girl not quite seemingly all there, was idly walking. Her long hair lazily flowed behind her. While her violet-rimmed-red eyes, holding an almost crazed gleam, covered with an innocently disguised curiosity, watched her surroundings. As she turned a corner, her feet stopped. The onslaught of scents filled her nose, finding a group of Slytherins basically blocking the corridor. Tightening her hold on her book, attached to her left arm and chest, Isabella held her tongue. Aiming just to get through the lot of them without causing trouble. She really didn't have the control to handle them.
That was the plan, to quietly and quickly walk pass them. Yet, even so, Isabella caught sight of Kaiden. Leaning against a fricken wall as if he owned the place. His scent finally reached her, as she began to make her way over to him. The dull thudding of her heart raised, just as the guilt did. With each step, Evie's image grew inside her mind.
Why Isabella?
His scent was why. The reason Evie was dead. If it hadn't been on her, if only. Why had it been on her? It was Isabella's fault she was dead, but it was also his fault. And she was so sick of allowing this guilt ruin her. She needed to know why, she needed to blame someone other than herself.
The girl hanging off him, only seemed to make Isabella's anger increase. Although, the only indication was the slight narrow of her eyebrows. Smiling a little, which Isabella felt didn't at all look like a smile. She reached him, just about a step away from Kaiden.
"Kaiden." With that greeting, Isabella, despite the crowd, despite how she didn't think it would be a good idea, despite how she felt she should talk about what happened first, waved her right hand. Slapping him on the cheek. The sound filling her ears, as she gently took her hand away. She used only human strength, after all she didn't really think this through. Like a lot of things these days. But she needed to get it across, that she was a little pissed-off at him.

Kaiden barely had chance to register Isabella's presence, barely had chance to smirk at her wickedly, before she was in front of him and her hand had left mark upon his face. Kaiden reeled, his mind churning from the unexpected contact. Isabella had slapped him. She had slapped him. Nobody slapped Kaiden. Ever.
The chattering group of Slytherins fell silent, the eyes of each and everyone on Kaiden and Isabella. Even the girl on Kaidens arm finally shut up, her eyes wide and her mouth agape. Kaiden thought she reminded him much of a frog, behind his angered haze.
Kaiden barely looked at Isabella, instead allowing his eyes to graze over his fellow Slytherins. The pink tint on his cheek had already faded, though the bruise to his ego would take longer to heal. "Leave us" Kaidens voice was steely and sharp, his eyes cold as the touched each of those around him. Most of them scattered, knowing better than to stay around Kaiden's temper.
The fifth year, however remained, halfway between Kaiden and a few of her friends, who had also lingered. "LEAVE" It was almost a growl, and the volume of his voice vibrated through the corridor, making the girl and her friends run from his sight.
It was only after they were gone that Kaiden allowed himself to look at Isabella. He locked his eyes with hers, irrational, animalistic anger burning within him. He pushed towards her with all of his strength, his hand finding her throat and pushing backwards until he felt the wall behind her. His breaths were heaving. Tremors travelled through his arms. It had been some time since he had lost his temper, some time since anyone had seen the beast he became.

The desired affect lasted about 0.2 seconds. The slight change of atmosphere, the silence that followed. It was what Isabella had expected, although the longer she remained, eyes locked with Kaiden's, she was finding that the slap had a more dramatic effect than anticipated. Yet, she didn't care. Even when immediately after the other Slytherins left, she felt his hand grip around her throat, and found herself against a wall. Like a vice. Held into place. Her book had been dropped, left a few feet away. Now forgotten.
Isabella's violet eyes never left his, even when she could see the sheer anger. Feel it. Isabella knew she should at least feel a little scared, but she couldn't. It just wouldn't surface, no matter how much she might force it too. She just wasn't afraid. Something else dominated the fear, a sort of thrill like sensation. Seeking to push him to his limit. To find out just how much damage Kaiden would do to her if she pushed him hard enough. So she could feel just how much Evie hurt. Isabella didn't have a clue to why, maybe she was a little crazed? Or maybe she wanted to see just what everyone else saw. The Kaiden everyone was so damn happy to warn her about.
Lifting her right arm up, Isabella gently gripped onto the wrist of the arm currently attached to her throat. Isabella knew swallowing wasn't necessary, but she was finding it quite hard to do this simple action. Realising his grip was tighter than she thought, it would probably even leave a bruise. Throughout this, she felt his arm trembling, as if he was holding something back.
Biting the corner of her lower lip, Isabella glanced behind Kaiden, before focusing on him again, eyes gleaming more red at that moment than violet. An almost deranged look in them that clearly displayed; "Go on, I dare you to do your worst."

Kaiden's breaths came in pants as the tremors increased. Something deadly flashed in his eyes. Somewhere between the fact that Isabella had stood up to him, and her dare for him to do his worst, Kaiden's control disapated. There was nothing left for him to hold onto in his mind. The madness and anger would overcome any boundaries he had had in place.
"I'll give you a chance to take that back, bloodsucker" Kaiden's face was less than a centimeter from Isabella's as he spat out the words. Any sentimentality he had felt for the girl was seemingly forgotten. Just another leech now.
"I'll give you a taste-test. Then you can see if you still want me to fulfill your dare." He bared his teeth, elongated and sharpened in his rage. His grip still tight on Isabella's neck, he pulled her from the wall only to throw her against the cruel stone at the other side of the corridor with force enough to kill if she had've been human.
Blood flowed like fire through his veins while the tremors would not stop. He could barely hold his human form for long enough to grab her again, holding her inches from the ground. "How was that, Isabella?"

Isabella could of ignored his words, for that's how much she was unaffected. Her mind simply wasn't up for retorts that insulted. Nothing could of come close to the pain the guilt had, knawing at her mind. Eating away any clear emotion, or real desire to more forward in life. Kaiden was lucky she didn't have enough sense left to grab Loki and be done with him. But she wanted to play, in her seriously messed up mind, this was payback for not getting to Evie on time. This was also going to be his payback, for making her hesitate.
With a muffed cry of pain, Isabella narrowed her eyes. Her teeth had bit into her tongue as she was thrown. Already filling her mouth up with blood. The taste making her own fangs show, before her tongue healed up. The connection of her body and the floor created a small crater. Which Isabella was sure would raise a few eyebrows. She briefly wondered if she was injured elsewhere, but the thought was jolted out of her when Kaiden choose to hold her up. Letting her feet dangle, while she was having a hard time finding the time to speak. Let alone replie to him.
Frowning at him, Isabella half smirked through the sharp hold of her neck. Finding this amusing more than anything else.
"No," Isabella managed to whisper, "You can't take back what you did to her, to Evie." Slowly Isabella grasp hold of his fingers with both hands. Making them as loose as she could around her neck. At the same time using her legs to wrap around his torso. Moving her power and weight to make it so she had the advantage.
"So neither will I." Isabella declared, an almost undertone of anger lining her words. As she could still taste the remains of her own blood from her split tongue. Isabella pushed down hard, intending to make him fall backwards.

Isabella's words startled Kaiden enough that he let go of her throat and stumbled backwards, until it was his back against the wall. He did not fall, as he was sure was her intention, but was surprised enough that she managed to move him.
He narrowed his icy eyes at Isabella, his cold mind calculating, thinking, grasping at understanding. A deep rumbling almost growl built in his chest and spilt forth from between his lips. It grew in volume and timbre until it could be clearly defined as laughter. Monstorous, beast-like laughter, but laughter none the less.
It was a sound of madness.
"Isabella" He looked her dead in the eye, his chest still trembling, though now with laughter as well. "Would you care to tell me what I did to Evie? Just so we're on the same level here." There was a glint of something akin to cruelty in his eyes, something terrible and viscious. And playful. Sickeningly playful

Relief flooded to her throat, the sensation of breathing optional again. The stumble her push caused, made Isabella's legs grip on tighter as Kaiden hit the wall. Her hands finding the wall behind either side of his head to lean on. Anger growing with each word he spoke, as if mocking her. As if Evie wasn't important enough to remember. Isabella had been suppose to protect her. How could he be so cruel? Had she really been so blind that she couldn't see this? His sickening stare only made her own eyes become visibly cold. Harsh.
Then Isabella paused. Hearing the whispers echoing in her head, halting her movement, like an invisible barrier. Making her perfectly still. Causing her to look completely unstable. It was over in a second, reality snapping back into perspective. As Isabella blinked. Seemingly unaffected.
"Why, do you need to be reminded?" Isabella muttered in distaste. Hating how it sounded as if he was challenging her to say exactly what he did wrong. "Or do you simply f*ck everyone, it's hard for you to remember who's, who?" Isabella murmured softly. Something akin to sadness mixed with a foreign emotion Isabella was having a hard time remembering.
That and she wanted him to admit he did something wrong. So she wouldn't have to feel the guilt alone.

The laughter threatened to bubble over and explode again. Only just, did he kept it under control. "Isabella, I did nothing to her. I will not deny that we had .... relations" He stifled laughter and the trembling in his body seemed to dull "But it was more a case of what she did to me."
He looked Isabella up and down, trying to interpret what she was thinking. "I don't see why you should care about what the little wretch did anyway" Kaiden sneared cruelly "Unless you are...jealous?" Kaiden lowered his head so that his lips were by Isabellas ear and whispered the last word with a smirk.

"I don't care what she did to you. Like it matters now, she isn't here." Isabella replied spitefully. The guilt rising with her words. As if to say, and who's fault it that?
"I don't see why you should care about what the little wretch did anyway"
"You don't get it." Isabella stated, shaking her head slowly. "What you two did..." But she couldn't continue, stopping. Isabella didn't get a chance at continuing. His next words vibrated through her head. Making her slightly confused.
Gently, but quickly Isabella pulled her hands away from the wall, gripping onto Kaidens shoulders to support herself, while she removed her legs from his torso. Standing in front of him, rather irritated by his lack of remorse for his actions. But more so at herself.
Was that what it was? Was that why she had hesitated? Had she wanted Evie to die? Was that why she had felt anger? Because she was Jealous?
Dropping her hands, Isabella stepped back. Staring at Kaiden like he was some sort of plague. Noticing that he was enjoying himself. She was sane enough to know, that, that was wrong? Yet she couldn't help but admire how he could be so, unattached.
"She's dead because I felt jealousy?" Isabella whispered, more of a realisation, than a question. As she couldn't help but tremble, feeling rather stupid that someone was dead because of such a thing. And she had let it happen.

Kaiden cocked an eyebrow as Isabella removed herself from him. He watched her for a moment, his body entirely still now. "Now Isabella, that really is a matter of perspective." He still wore that trademark smirk. "I'd say she's dead because somebody killed her. Jealousy, for the most part, is a very harmless emotion. Anger, on the other hand - thats something you have to look out for." Kaiden gave Isabella a sly wink.
It was surprising, though not unusual, how quickly his body had drained of anger. Kaiden stepped away from the wall, out into the open. He wondered briefly if any of the slytherins he was with earlier had been watching them from around a corner. It was the kind of thing they would do. Though if they had been watching, he would be able to tell. They would be avoiding him for a few days at least.

Isabella didn't move, as Kaiden stepped away from the wall. Controlling the trembles that her body wanted to break out into. Eying him, while he spoke. The words doing nothing to comfort her. She could finally feel the throbbing pain coming from her side as it slowly healed up. Her neck though, that would take longer to heal. Werewolves tended to leave bruises for a while. Instinctively Isabella held up a hand to her throat, gently rubbing it. Cringing at the action, Isabella turned her head to the side. Finding the tattered floor more interesting than looking at Kaiden. Than looking at his grin.
"It's your fault too you know." Isabella barely whispered. Her voice soft, despite what she was saying. Inhaling, Isabella let the corners of her mouth twitch up. Into an almost smile.
"She'd be alive, if I'd never met you." She pointed out, knowing this to be true. She would of got to her in time. Before Alec sliced opened her neck. But in her mind, she didn't think the words through. Looking back at Kaiden, an uncontrolled look of sheer longing bleed through. Longing for what? Isabella didn't know. Would she have really wanted it that way? To have never met him?
Isabella chose to ignore the thought. She didn't think it wise to think of it any longer. She didn't know what kind of effect the words would have on him anyway.

Kaiden turned his back to Isabella as she spoke, closing his eyes to his surroundings.
"No it wouldn't have happened if you never met me. But that doesn't mean its my fault. Not my guilt, not my problem." Kaiden spoke lazily, as if the conversation had already bored him.
"Why don't you find the git who killed her? Go play blame games with him." His eyes snapped open again, but he remained facing the wall. "Besides, knowing me isn't so bad, is it? You can't say you wish that you hadn't known me."

Isabella's mood darkened. Terribly fast, Kaiden's attitude was making her want to slap him again.
"That git, will see me soon enough." She hissed, although, Isabella didn't think she would see Alec soon. She valued her life more than that. At this moment she was still recovering. Alec was the reason she heard voices in her head. But she didn't know if she would be able to kill him. It was complicated. Isabella had known him for far too long. Clenching her teeth together, Isabella moved her body to the side.
"Do you really want me to answer that, after what just happened?" Isabella asked, raising an eyebrow. "Would you even care?" Isabella added, staring at his back. Hoping he did, but at the same time, trying to prepare herself for his utter lack of it. She really shouldn't care at all, but why did it start to hurt?

Kaiden sighed, warm breath slipping between ever-so-slightly parted lips. In an instant, with a movement so quick that it was undetectible, he had Isabella against the wall. His arms were outstretched, hands pressing against the stone either side of her head. Between her body and his was enough of a gap that she could escape from his proximity if she wished to, but closeness enough to let her know that he didn't want her to.
With slow, deliberate movements he lowered his head to hers. Cool eyes darted over her face, taking in every aspect, every feature, then meeting violet. His lips were only centimeters from hers as he began to speak. "Don't ever fool yourself into believing that I don't care." Kaidens voice was breathy, the words less than a whisper.
He kept his eyes locked upon Isabella's, the steady rise and fall of his chest the only movement his body let up.
